I trained as a Chartered accountant in a mid-sized firm in Hertfordshire and qualified in 1993. I quickly moved out of practice, and over the past 30 years I’ve worked in a whole range of businesses, from SMEs through to investment banks.

I’ve worked as an employee, an interim, and now as a portfolio FD, and gained invaluable experience working in financial services, professional services, and more recently with a mixture of different smaller businesses, including those in the construction space. My role typically involves a mixture of M&A, integration, change projects and more mainstream FD strategy and accounting solutions.

I love meeting and working with such a diverse group of people, gaining an understanding of their challenges, and using my knowledge to help them achieve their business and personal goals. I’ve also previously trained as a project manager, so can confidently help my clients implements new systems and processes.

Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy the theatre, walking our dog in the great outdoors, and meeting up with our 3 grown up children whenever we can. I’ve always loved music alongside a bit of sport, particularly football.
